    Consume foods high in alkalinity. A pH balance of 20 percent Gaia’s Protocol Review acid and 80 percent alkaline is ideal for normal body chemistry. Unfortunately most processed and cooked foods have an acidifying affect which lowers the blood pH. The importance of alkalinity will be covered in another article.

    An easy way to help create a more alkaline environment in your body is to squeeze fresh lemons in the water you drink daily. Lemons though, acidic in taste are highly alkaline once broken down in your system. On a side note, room temperature or warm water is best.
