King Esports is a premiere Call of Duty and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team of talented players. The organisation has competed successfully in tournaments and online ladders, establishing itself as a leading esports team. King Esports has experienced progress throughout the Oceanic region with a growing member base throughout Australia and New Zealand with over 5000 Twitter followers. It provides a place for both casual and competitive gamers to develop and grow in a supportive environment. Its motto, "live by the crown", represents the organisation's values of ambition, loyalty and respect.
King Esports has a deep history dating back to the origins of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007. It was previously known as the King's Pack of Brothers (KPB), a branch of the now defunct King clan. KPB was first established as the recruiting and trialling grounds to screen players who were future potential members of the King clan. In essence, KPB was a branch for talented new recruits to display their skills to join the parent clan. The branch quickly gained a reputation in the public community as its members were all competitive and driven.
As KPB experienced growth, it gathered members from Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Singapore and China. However, as the KPB branch progressed, internal issues within its parent clan began to arise. This led to the King clan faltering and losing momentum. Eventually, it disbanded but KPB continued to operate with its strong base of talented and loyal members. It flourished throughout the years and secured its name within the Call of Duty community as an experienced and competitive team.
KPB remained steady and gained a significant amount of traction in 2013 for Call of Duty: Ghosts. During this time, it was able to maintain an active member base of 120 players, scrimmed against other prominent clans, participated in several competitions and organised its own internal tournaments with prizes. In 2015, KPB shifted platforms from PC to PS4 due to the limited player population for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PC.
KPB used 2016 as a transitional period to ease into the PS4 platform. The results were positive and it created a tight knit group of new PS4 members. The platform shift, coupled with the introduction of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered, initiated a turning point for the clan. KPB took the opportunity to move from a regular clan and rebrand to establish itself as a professional organisation and team. The official domain, KingEsports.com was setup, a high quality website was developed along with active social media management and a recruitment campaign began. The new name, King Esports, is a tribute to its origins from the King clan and King's Pack of Brothers. It carries on the tradition, values and culture of the past into the future. King Esports represents a place where casual, competitive and professional gamers are supported and can call home.
